The Eternal Jew....

The Eternal Jew was made by the Germans, it was propaganda piece against Jews. It was made when the Nazis came to serious power. Personally I think it was a piece of art, a poster or maybe even a postcard. Postcard because more people would see it and would see how 'bad' the Jews were. The intended audience was obviously all the 'Pure Germans" and everyone that are Nationalists.

I think the artist intended to show the people of Germany how bad the Jews are, that they are dirty poor and beggars. That communists and Jews are both horrible people, and the combined are worse. That they are all ugly in both ways, I think this because the man in the picture doesn't look to nice or good for that matter. He wants to express how much these people need to leave Germany, how bad they are and so on. A lot of people would learn a lot of bad things, even thought a lot of them aren't true. People would think about it, decide how poor and how bad they are because they are Jews and Communists. I think that the artist wanted to show that communists also support Jews so they are bad and should be exterminated.

I think it provides misleading information because obviously they didn't see it from the Jews point of view, not every single Jew was a bad person, I doubt any of them were. It's showing that they are as bad as communists because they support each other. How could you not support anyone in those times? It's a negative message because it promotes the bad things that aren't true. The Jews might have been rich from their businesses but then the Nazi's took everything from them, of course they were poor then. It promotes the false fact that they are ugly and dirty.
